Please note: booking confirmation shows by default Embassy of Estonia in Ottawa as a location, but if you book for the dates November 12-14, 2025 – please be assured that all appointments take place in Vancouver.
Please bring a valid passport for identification. If possible, bring a simple photocopy of your Canadian passport.
Information about renewing an Estonian passport/ID card:
- Please prefill and print the application. Do not sign the completed form.
- No need to bring a physical document photo. Digital passport photos are required (information below)

- If you have changed your name in Canada since your previous passport was issued, please have your Canadian documents (marriage, name change etc certificates) certified with an Apostille. Information for first-time Estonian passport/ID card applicants:

Digital photo should be sent to the e-mail address [email protected] Subject line: full name and ID-code/date of birth of the person on the photo.
The photograph must be a color photograph and unedited. The file size for the document photo must be between 1MB and 5MB. The dimensions of the photo must be at least 1,300 × 1,600 pixels.
